Safari extension guide
Create a QR code for the current Safari tab
QR Tools turns the page you are viewing in Safari into a QR code, so you can scan it on an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android phone, or any other device with a camera.
Why use a QR code for a Safari tab?
It is often faster than copying a URL, sending yourself a message, or waiting for browser sync. Open the extension, scan the QR code on the second device, and continue from the same page.
How it works
- Install QR Tools from the App Store.
- Enable the QR Tools Safari extension in Safari settings.
- Open a page in Safari.
- Open QR Tools from the Safari toolbar.
- Scan the QR code on another device.
Useful for everyday handoff
Turn a tab into a QR code that anyone nearby can scan from their own device.
